Chitosan nano-composites applications for water remediation

Water is the most crucial element for living, and lack of pure clean water has increased globally. Hence, need remediation from different pollutants a must. Developing techniques to accomplish purification expanding every day. Chitosan biodegradable eco-friendly biopolymer which extensively used in various applications. Here, we focus on using chitosan nano complexes with ferrites, graphene, silver, silica nanoparticles as novel, cheap, accurate, biocompatible, reusable, fast nano-complexes. Different synthesis protocols were obtain Chitosan-nano complexes. Various characterize test synthesized nanocomplexes, such UV-Vis spectroscopy, Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), powder-X-ray diffraction (p-XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission microscopy (TEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Brunauer—Emmett–Teller (BET) Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The chitosan-based nanocomplexes are detecting chemical heavy metals, organic dyes contaminations, eliminating pathogenic microorganisms environment.
